The Royal Adelaide Beer & Cider Awards will for the fourth time be presented to open the Adelaide Beer & BBQ Festival.
After a record number of entries from across the country in 2017 and major awards taken out by craft brewing heavyweights Pirate Life (SA) and Nail (WA) alongside emerging brewers like Bodriggy (Vic) and Little Bang (SA) the 2018 awards presentation will again be the premier beer awards event in South Australia.
‘Up in Smoke’ is Adelaide’s first Australasian BBQ Alliance sanctioned BBQ Competition. It is a low and slow BBQ competition held in conjunction with the Adelaide Beer & BBQ Festival at the Adelaide Showgrounds.
Everyone from amateur to professional BBQ teams are invited to test their sauces, rubs, marinades and smokers against each other to win cash, prizes, trophies and acclaim. Teams will compete in 5 categories; Beef, Pork Ribs, Pork, Lamb and Chicken for supremacy as the Reserve Grand Champion and Grand Champion for the overall points leaders.
